- SENIORS & INTERS from 8 to 9:30pm

PLEASE NOTE: There is NO longer a Seniors training session on Wednesday nights. Instead there will now be a Scrimmage only session for all paid up club members who wish to attend.

This is free of charge to all Seniors (years 12 & 13) and free to any Inter or Junior who attended their age group's previous training session and paid their subs up to date.
Otherwise there is a small fee if £1.00 to help cover costs.

NOTE: The car park is pay and display and costs about £4.00 - However, upon arrival at the venue, please check within the sports hall with our hosts to see if they are issuing 'Free to park slips' to place on your dashboard under the windscreen.

CUBS

Under 11 (year 6)

11^th February               from 9am to 12 noon

11^th March                  from 11:30am to 3pm

8^th April                       from 9am - 11:30am

Note: Leadonites are not entered into this competition at present but it remains an option.

 This is a new Glozball format whereby U11 players will have 90 minutes of coaching from Level 3 and experienced Level 2 qualified coaches (that is not me on ether count, by the way) on the fundamental basics of skill development. Players will then re-join their club mates and play 4v4 matches to 8ft high baskets across court.

Under 12 (year 7 & below)

SENIORS

Under 18s (year 13 & below)

All dates are yet to be released but will most likely be on Sundays.

DETAILS:

• Court size: All matches, in all age group CVLs, will be played on full-sized courts.
• Hoop height:  All matches, in all age group CVLs, will be played with 10ft high hoops.
• Ball size: U12s will use a FIBA size 5 basketball. The U14s will use a FIBA size 6 basketball, the U16s and U18s will use a FIBA size 7 basketball.
• Match Duration: The duration of each match will be depend upon the number of teams playing on the day of that date's particular CVL competition. The aim is for each team to play as many games and for as much basketball to be played as possible.
• Each CVL is intended to be between at least 3 teams playing a round robin format.

MATCH RESULT

Worcester Bears U11s 48 V 43 Leadonites U12s

- Saturday, 17th December 2017

  With seven players unavailable to play Leadonites travelled to Worcester to play this friendly with a match day roster of just eight players and one of those, Edik Demcenko, playing his first ever basketball match.

  A poor first quarter saw the Ledbury team 16 points behind with only four points from Katie Dudley to show for their efforts at the break despite many scoring opportunities.

  Alfie Fisher scored early in the second quarter which sparked Ben Deards into a personal scoring spree that led to an eventual game high of 22 points ( new single game Leadonites scoring record). This left the half time score at 27-26 to the Bears.

  Owen Boniface made a telling contribution in the early part of the second half with transition dribbling up court in what became a tighter and lower scoring third quarter; ending with the scores all level at 35 apiece with baskets from captain Joe French and Rich Jay added to by Ben and Katie.

  However, Bears’ superior spacing, passing and shooting told in the fourth quarter as they built a commanding lead before late baskets from Ben, Katie (making it a PB of 12 points) and Fraser Renfrew-Clarke brought the final score an air of respectability.
