The Leadonites Basketball Principles
We operate on the following basis…
· SAFE, FUN, PROGRESSIVE (and in that order)
· We only want players who want to be with us
· Players must be willing and able to play matches for the club
Leadonites Basketball was set up to play matches, not simply for kids to learn the sport; there's a subtle difference. So, if when selected you are either unwilling to play for us or cannot play for us due to other interests then please don't join the club. If you do then you are taking up someone else's opportunity to be coached on their pathway to playing matches
·
Players MUST be
coachable
Any player with Leadonites Basketball must be physically and mentally able to be coached - both in training sessions and matches - by our coaches. This includes your ability to accept and process constructive criticism. The coaches just want you to get better and to contribute as best you can to your team
· Family first, then School/Work, then Basketball
·
You can never consistently
play better than you train
If you don't have the correct attitude and commit the right level of effort to training then do not expect to be able to magically find those attributes during matches. “Under pressure,” according to US Navy SEAL lore, “you don't rise to the occasion, you sink to the level of your training"
·
Once a Leadonite,
always a Leadonite
Once you play for Leadonites Basketball then we consider you properly one of us and a Leadonite for life!
