CONTEXT: When reading the results it should be understood that Storm's youth programme is very new and is about two years behind that of Leadonites. Added to this, although this was Storm's U14 and U16s the reality is that each team contained players much younger as well. Each Storm team had fewer substitutes and this told, especially toward the end of the second match. However, in each game the Shrewsbury players kept pushing offensively and digging in on defence and never let their heads drop. With that sort of effort and attitude their coaches, Dave Cockerill and Kevin King have a good base to work with and the return matches will be much closer in scoreline, especially with the players that were unable to travel on this occasion.
