Coaches Comments
|
- This was a big step for
the club in actually putting this game on as we gear up to hopefully play
some home matches this season against other clubs.
- A very big thank you go
out to each of the following: Doreen Miccio (working the new electric
scoreboard), Irene Wilkinson (scoresheet), Claire Lewis (spotter), Emma Clark
(Photos), Richard Davis (Coach of the U12s) and Taliesin Chalkley (Coach of
the U13s).
- All players played
well.
- It was nice to see
friends and family come along to watch and support.
- We are doing this again
at the end of August when the Inters play the Seniors. Please come along to
lend your support.

NEWS and EVENTS
Looking Forward: Season 2016/17
Teams
We intend to run four
different age group teams for the 2016/17 season – U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s.
We have been promised a slot for each of these teams in the monthly repeating
Glozball central venue leagues that will be held at Gloucestershire College
this coming season; the first of these is due to tip-off in October but I am
awaiting details. In the meantime will try to arrange a pre-season friendly
against another club for each team during September; however, most attention
will be given to the fledgling U12s team to get them blooded ready for their
inaugural season together.
Membership
New season and that means
new Membership Forms to be completed. Please either detach a copy of the
document sent with the monthly newsletter email or ask Irene or myself for a
hard copy at training. These are essential to us due to the permissions and
notifications that you detail on them. Membership of Leadonites remains free.
Costs
- Training sessions remain at £3.00
per session.
- No player will be allowed
to go more than three training and/or Match subs in arrears this season.
- Club Membership Fee stays at ZERO;
the clubs in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire charge between £15.00 and £30.0
for this!
- Basketball England Membership = £5.00 – This is unavoidable as it
both maintains the club’s insurance for injuries and third party and also
allows players to play for Leadonites against other clubs.
- Match Subs – Depends on what the match/tournament day costs the
club to enter but should not be more than £3.00
